About the content
Easter holidays are coming and it's time for Club Engineer's "Cracking the Robocup Rescue Challenge".
I have booked morning and afternoon sessions for three days at The Studio for Monday 3rd, Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th April, with just four places available in each session.
The morning sessions are for coders in years five or six. The afternoon session is for coders in secondary school.
With just four coders in each group, plenty of personal attention is guaranteed, along with great peer support from a mix of students at different ages, experience levels and interests.
Some of the technologies we expect to see in use include:
Senior School Students (Years 7+) - Afternoon Sessions: Solving the Robocup Rescue challenge with Lego & NXC, Lego & Small Basic, Lego & Arduino and make your own light and touch sensors for NXT, EV3 or Arduino.
When are the sessions running?
Sessions will run Monday 3th, Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th April 2016 (3 days).
Session times for younger middle school students are 10.00am - 11.30am (3 days x 1 1/2 hours).
Session times for middle school students are 12.00pm - 2.00pm (3 days x 2 hours).
Session times for senior school students are 2.30pm - 4.30pm (3 days x 2 hours)
What places are still available?
The sesson days are locked in, however the exact times will depend on the student groups who express interest.
Once we know the age, experience and interest of the students who sign up, we will move students around so we get the best mix of interest, age and experience. This can become a little messy the days just before the sessions start, but we have found it allows us to give the best experience to the students.
What does it cost?
Yonger Middle School Students: Three x 1.5 hour sessions x $50 per hour = $250
Middle School Students: Three x two hour sessions x $50 per hour = $300
Senior School Students: Three x three hour sessions x $50 per hour = $300
